SOMATIC PLAY & REIKI
A playful journey into expression, connection & nervous-system regulation.

A playground for the parts of you that want to be felt, seen, and expressed.
The experience
What if play could become a pathway back to yourself? Somatic Play & Reiki is an experiential group workshop that brings together somatic practices, improvisational play, emotional expression, authentic connection, and optional Reiki energy healing. Participants are invited to step out of their everyday roles and into a space where they can move, play, express, connect, and explore different emotional parts of themselves — without needing to perform, be “good” at movement, or have any previous experience. The result is a unique experience that feels playful, liberating, connective, and deeply grounding.
WHAT PARTICIPANTS EXPERIENCE
FROM EMOTION TO EXPRESSION
As the workshop unfolds, individual explorations become collective creations.
Participants are invited into improvised group scenes and eventually create a living, human-sized work of art using their bodies, movement, expressions, and connection with one another.
It's a moment where something that began inside one person becomes part of a shared experience.
The group becomes the container.
The body becomes the medium.
Play becomes the language.
And emotions that may not always have a place in everyday life get a safe, creative outlet.
WE CLOSE BY COMING BACK TO THE BODY
After the activation and expression of play, we intentionally slow down.
The workshop closes with grounding and relaxation practices, helping participants integrate the experience and reconnect with a quieter state.
Depending on the setting, the closing can also include optional Reiki energy healing to support relaxation and restoration.
This workshop creates space to:
Connect with the body through gentle movement
Explore and express emotions in a creative way
Experience different parts of themselves through character and play
Practice being seen and witnessed by others
Build connection and trust within a group
Release some of the pressure to “perform” or have it all together
Access spontaneity, curiosity, and joy
Experiment with new ways of expressing themselves
Finish with grounding, relaxation, and integration
The intention isn't to force an emotional breakthrough.
It's to create the conditions for people to safely explore what is already there — with choice, playfulness, and support.

Participants Reviews
“I liked the variety of games playing with different aspects of ourselves (body, voice), and that it was not necessarily focused on witty lines but on being comfortable with ourselves and in tune with other people.”
— Mariel“I like the structured exercises, especially the group ones. I like the ones that are off the cuff and force you to think without time to prepare. i like it when the group comes together to create something, like the singing exercise with eyes closed and the word-guessing game. I like that the instructor explains the purpose of the exercises.”
— Xuei“The playfulness of the sessions stands out to me. Moving our bodies in ways we don’t in daily life and creating a safe space for each other..”

Paula Kusinska
Paula's work sits at the intersection of somatic exploration, emotional expression, improvisation, and energy work.
She is a certified Psychosomatics and Parts Work practitioner, an improv theatre practitioner who completed all levels of training at Leela School of Improv in San Francisco and performed as part of an ensemble, and a Reiki energy healer.
Her approach brings together these seemingly different worlds to create experiences where people can explore themselves through the body rather than only through conversation.
At the heart of her work is a simple belief:
We don't always need to think our way into transformation. Sometimes we need to move, play, express, connect — and let the body show us what becomes possible.
